Born with a connection to the Green, Alec holland was destined to be the avatar, to be the human chosen to protect the Green from all threats. It took death and rebirth for Alec to make peace with his fate, and now he is the Swamp Thing. Based in the swamp near Houma, LA, he tries to find a balance between the man he was and the creature he is, all while seeking to keep the Green safe from man and from the other kingdoms of nature.
But what he really wants is a chance to read, or watch a movie, or just be Alec Holland.
Swamp Thing is several series of that name from DC Comics, and is the property of DC Comics, Inc. He is in the Bar following the end of his 2011-2015 comic. He appears here solely for the purpose of role-playing in [info]milliways_bar, from which no profit whatsoever is being made. Swamp Thing was created by Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson, and reimagined by Alan Moore, Scott Snyder, and Charles Soule, among others.
